Saving a tab to a group is only half the job. The other half is actually going back to it. TabHive's reminder feature handles that for you by surfacing the tab right when you need it, whether that's once, every day, or on specific days of the week.

Setting a Reminder on a Tab

Open the three-dot menu on any saved tab and choose Reminder. This opens the Set Reminder dialog.

From here you pick the type of reminder:

  • One-time (the default) - pick a date and time, and TabHive will remind you once.
  • Daily - pick a time and the reminder fires every day at that time.
  • Weekly - pick one or more days of the week plus a time, and it repeats on that schedule.

You can also add a short note (up to 50 characters) for context, so when the reminder appears you know exactly why you saved it.

Hit Set Reminder and you're done.

How Reminders Appear

When a reminder comes due, a notification card appears in the top-right corner of whatever page you're browsing. It shows the tab's favicon and title, when it's due, any recurrence schedule, and your note if you added one.

From the card you have two options:

  • View - opens the tab in a new browser tab and dismisses the reminder.
  • Close - dismisses the reminder without opening the tab.

For recurring reminders, dismissing automatically schedules the next occurrence. You don't need to do anything.

Editing or Removing a Reminder

Open the three-dot menu on the same tab and select Reminder again. The dialog reopens with your existing settings pre-filled. Update whatever you need and hit Update Reminder, or click Remove Reminder to delete it entirely.

When to Use Each Type

One-time reminders

Best for deadline-driven tabs. A contract you need to review by Thursday, a product page for a purchase you're deciding on, or a registration that closes at the end of the month.

Daily reminders

Good for reference tabs that are part of a routine. A daily standup agenda, a metrics dashboard you check every morning, or a habit tracker.

Weekly reminders

Useful for tabs tied to recurring meetings or weekly workflows. Set it to fire every Monday morning and the right tabs are waiting for you at the start of each week.
