URL Extractor
Pull every link out of text, HTML, Markdown or an email. Remove duplicates, keep only the domains, and copy or download the list. Your text never leaves your browser.

How it works
How to extract URLs from text
Three steps, and nothing to install.
Paste your text
An email, notes, a chat export, a web page's HTML or a Markdown file. Anything with links in it.
Shape the list
Duplicates come out as you paste. Keep only domains, sort A to Z, or filter to links that contain a word.
Copy, download or open
Copy the list, download it as a CSV, clean the tracking off, or open every link in tabs.
What it finds
Every kind of link, in any text
Paste whatever you have. The extractor handles plain text, HTML and Markdown in the same box.
Links in plain text
Full links anywhere in a sentence, list or spreadsheet column, with trailing commas and brackets trimmed off.
Links in HTML
Every absolute link in href attributes, with & turned back into &. Relative links like /about are skipped, since they have no site attached.
Markdown links
The address inside [text](link), including links with brackets in them, like Wikipedia pages.
Links without https://
Bare addresses like docs.example.com/start, as long as they start with www. or end in a common domain like .com or .io. Turn this off for stricter results.
Domains only
The unique sites in your text, without www., one per line. Handy for building a block list or checking who you link to.
Duplicates
Links that appear more than once are kept once and counted, so you can see how many repeats there were.
Links full of utm tags? Send them to the URL cleaner with Clean them, or turn them into clickable links with the hyperlink generator.
Collecting links?
Save them somewhere you can find them again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. It's free, needs no signup, and has no limit on how much text you paste.
No. The links are found by code running in your browser. Your text isn't sent to Tabhive's servers or saved anywhere, and it's gone when you close or reload the page.
Open the page, press Ctrl+U (Cmd+Option+U on a Mac) to view its source, select all, copy it and paste it here. You get every absolute link on the page. Links written as relative paths, like /pricing, are skipped because the source doesn't say which site they belong to.
Not from the file itself. Open the document, select all the text, copy it and paste it here. Links that are written out in the text are found. Links hidden behind a word, where only the word shows, usually don't come along when you copy plain text.
Tick Domains only. The list switches to the unique sites in your text, like example.com, with www. removed and each site listed once. Download it as a CSV to open it in a spreadsheet.
One row per link with two columns: the full URL and its domain. In domains-only mode it's one column of domains. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers.
Install Tabhive, open Import from the profile menu, choose From OneTab and paste the list. Tabhive accepts one URL per line, so the copied list works as is. The links become a group you can search and reopen. The free plan holds 50 saved tabs.
