Import

Easily migrate to Tabhive from other tab management extensions.

Importing from Other Extensions

Import from Workona

Tabhive supports direct import from Workona:

1. Open Tabhive
2. Click the profile menu in top right corner
3. Select "Import"
4. Choose "Import from Workona"
5. Select the json exported from Workona
6. Click "Import"
7. Wait for import to complete

What gets imported:

• ✅ Workspaces (converted to Tabhive spaces)
• ✅ Groups
• ✅ Tab titles and URLs
• ✅ Organization structure
• ❌ Workona-specific features (notes, tasks)

Import from Browser Bookmarks

Import your browser bookmarks as workspace tabs:

1. Open Tabhive
2. Click the profile menu in top right corner
3. Select "Import Bookmarks"
4. Select import options:
   • Import All: Import entire bookmark structure
   • Select Folders: Choose specific bookmark folders
5. Click "Import"

Import Structure:

Bookmarks Toolbar/
├── Work/               → Work Workspace
│   ├── Project A/      → "Project A" Group
│   └── Tools/          → "Tools" Group
└── Personal/           → Personal Workspace
    ├── News/           → "News" Group
    └── Shopping/       → "Shopping" Group

Import from Other Extensions

OneTab

1. Open OneTab
2. Export tabs to a list (copy all URLs)
3. Open Tabhive
4. Click the profile menu in top right corner
5. Click "Import" and select From OneTab tab
6. Paste the list
7. Click "Import"

Toby

1. Open Tabhive
2. Click the profile menu in top right corner
3. Select "Import"
4. Choose "Import from Toby"
5. Choose json exported from Toby
6. Click "Import"
7. Wait for import to complete

Workspaces

1. Open Tabhive
2. Click the profile menu in top right corner
3. Select "Import"
4. Choose "Import from Workspaces"
5. Click "Start Import"
6. Grant necessary permissions
7. Wait for import to complete

Tabme

1. Open Tabme and export your data as a JSON file (Settings → Export)
2. Open Tabhive
3. Click the profile menu in top right corner
4. Select "Import"
5. Choose "From Tabme"
6. Select the JSON file exported from Tabme
7. Click "Import"
8. Wait for import to complete

What gets imported:

• ✅ Spaces (converted to Tabhive spaces)
• ✅ Folders (converted to groups, including their colors)
• ✅ Groups inside folders (converted to groups named "Folder / Group")
• ✅ Bookmark titles, URLs and tags

start.me

1. Open start.me and export your bookmarks as an HTML file (profile dropdown → Teams → Data → Export)
2. Open Tabhive
3. Click the profile menu in top right corner
4. Select "Import"
5. Choose "From start.me"
6. Select the HTML file exported from start.me
7. Click "Import"
8. Wait for import to complete

What gets imported:

• ✅ Pages (converted to Tabhive spaces)
• ✅ Bookmark widgets (converted to groups)
• ✅ Folders inside widgets (converted to groups named "Widget / Folder")
• ✅ Bookmark titles, URLs and descriptions
• ❌ start.me-specific widgets (notes, RSS feeds, weather, etc.)
